Samadhi Finished

15th May 2009

Dear devotees,
please accept my humble obeisances!
All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
All glories to Suhotra Maharaja!

It is with great joy and a sense of relief that we can announce the successful completion of Guru Maharaja’s Samadhi at Mayapur Gurukula!

It was completed with a ceremony on the most auspicious day of Sri Nrsimha Caturdasi. We are anxiously waiting for more detailed report from Gaura Bhagavan Prabhu, hopefully with some more pictures.

The greatest thanks go to Tattvavada Prabhu, without his final push the project would probably be delayed for who knows how much longer. He had to personally go to the South India and negotiate with the sthapaties the completion. He was greatly helped by Sadasivananda Prabhu, a local leader. Also many other devotees were involved in the final phases of the Samadhi project and we are very grateful to all of them. Unfortunately I am unable to list them all here, Tattvavada Prabhu knows their names better. Very valuable were the last minute generous contributions from Kusa Prabhu and Madhva Prabhu with his wife Mahanandini dd.

The big thanks go to all the devotees, who have in any way helped the project, from the beginning till completion. By this nice cooperation we were able to build appropriate Samadhi for our dear spiritual master, His Holiness Suhotra Maharaja.

May this holy spot be the place of spiritual inspiration for all visitors, regardless whether they knew Guru Maharaja personally or not, regardless whether they were his disciples or not. Any sincere soul can feel Guru Maharaja’s presence here and his blessings pouring on one’s head. Let this structure glorify the extraordinary soul – Suhotra Maharaja – who has dedicated his whole life to the service of Srila Prabhupada and who has left this mortal world at this most holy place, Sridham Mayapur.

All glories to our beloved Gurudeva, Suhotra Maharaja!
All glories to all his dedicated servants and well-wishers!

Hare Krishna,
your servant
Vidyagati das
